HIV/AIDS Seminar Class Worksheets in Word doc format
The following worksheets are made available free of charge for teachers interested in including the topic of HIV/AIDS in their EFL/ESL classrooms. The pdf files are available from http://www.japanetwork.org/seminar/units.html, but because some teachers do not need or have access to the songs and / or video portions of the worksheets, they may wish to change the materials slightly to suit their needs. Except where noted, the worksheets for this seminar are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.5 License.
The units are designed to be used in order or as stand-alone reading/conversation activities.
The format of each unit is as follows:
Page 1: 10-word list of vocabulary found in the reading passage; a reading passage of between 400 and 600 words
Page 2: an activity worksheet for a song or video clip
Page 3: activites for enhancing Self-Esteem
Page 4: 5 reading comprehension questions; a variety of questions for discussion; (extra reading passage in some units)
All documents are in Times New Roman font. Note that there may be incompatibilities with your computer with regard to photos or graphics on the worksheets.
